A second shelf, in a different register. Templates are starting material, not finished pathways: nobody has signed them off, and they carry questions their author deliberately left open — the things only your practice can answer. A clinician reads the whole template first, then forks it: the copy lands in their own drafts, the open questions come to them at sign-off, and the pathway goes live under their own signature.

Most templates carry both halves of the journey — a Polaris pre-operative pathway and a Compass recovery pathway. Each card says which halves it holds today, read from the catalogue itself rather than from this page.
